No i wasn't talking about Single Aws or Relic Quests but big features like that weird strategy GW and other stuff like the tower, at what rate were they introduced as far as i remember DoTA had ton of different features.
Oh... I know what you meant... But certain features will make a TIME MESS if you didn't plan well.
The weird strategy GW is actually Sacred War: 5 Guilds, Battle for Domination Victory or Score Victory within 15/30 rounds (It's 1 round per day) so it's totally a Time Mess for players around the world.
I think they won't simply implement that one until everything is balanced. Sacred War really requires Teamwork from all Guildmates.

how many months did it take the DoTA team to make such features and apply them in the game?
I'm not the Staff from Lilith Games, so I have no idea when Lilith Games implement that kind of feature (It all depends on Lilith Games too)
For feature like Sacred War, it takes 3 months to do and testing it out since it's round-based strategy game, and it takes time to make a move.
Initial release for the first time will collect the bugs from the matches made, then they will slowly fix it.
Certain features like Adventure Book (replaces Sacred War), Sky Fortress (replaces Tower of Kings) takes shorter time like a month or two since they can simply alter the code and launch it (Still they need to test it out)
