Lilith, why no sales on heroes?

I’ve been thinking on this for a while now and I can’t figure out why Lilith makes every hero past the 1st cost so much? I’m no mathematician but most players (non Chinese players anyway) usually only buy one hero+patron. If I had to guess just based off personal experience I would say 1 out of 10 players purchase a 2nd hero. Now let’s say you have a sale or even make the 2nd hero cost like 20$ USD, do you realize how much more money you would make?! Your whales and Chinese would still spend a fortune but that 1 in 10 ratio could easily drop to 1 in 3. Even people like myself who play A LOT and have a decent income would never even consider spending 59.99 let alone 99.99 on a hero that’s bound to a single server. It just sucks being stuck at 1 additional hero! Oh and wtf do you make it so hard to get Nora for?!?!

Disclaimer** I am sure my numbers are nowhere near accurate as I’m sure it differs from server to server, but the overall majority will only buy a single hero at this current market price.

Any discount is a huge loss to a business.
Your personal experience doesn't have anything in common with the real statistics which is only available for Lilith financial department, and any guess of numbers from your side will be completely wrong.
That is why they don't give it. At least for now.

Have you ever played summoners war? Its one of the top grossing games and they have discounts all the time.

Never played, unfortunately, but this is not the question.
I mean, I do agree that plenty of other games have discounts on anything.
However it doesn't change the thing that it is a loss for them too.
Lilith can afford to go well without discounts, but they make a lot of them and you probably do not notice.
For example Void heroes - you get them for free (depends on your progress in Void, of course, but still, huge number of players got many heroes for free, didn't they?).
Also, we get this Linari Rose Chest.
Lots of players saved Linari from different gift codes, from Patron, from a lot of rewards from Lilith etc.
There are also other discounts, but they are not related to heroes. However the reason why they are made is simple - things that are not so popular in the shop may get the discount.

Lilith can't just put hero sales out of nowhere... imagine how the tons of veteran players who already purchased those heroes would feel...

there are sales on other items though... the shop always have a discounts... the linari purchases too... they have something like buy 1 take 1 ... or buy and get twice the amount... whatever they call that promo LOLz...

and with the hero chest... you will just buy linari and try your luck... your discount could be even bigger if lucky

The "veteran player" had the first hero for 100$ and I'm pretty sure they are fine with the first hero being 10$ now since they most likely already play on a newer server or already quit a long time ago, at least most I know.

They wouldn't be losing any money, it would be a huge financial gain from all the players unwilling to buy a 2nd, which is a lot.

I think so too. The jump from 10$ to 60-100 is too high. I think it would be more clever to make the 2nd hero cost 20-30, and I'm sure it would make a lot of people buy a 2nd hero who wouldn't do it otherwise. I've talked to a lot people about this for months now, and that basically is what everyone was saying. And for those who bought a few heroes, they would for sure buy another one if it was for 20-30$. Like "Oh I didn't really need Tiadrin but hey for 20$ let's get her". That's 20$ you would not make as it stands right now.
It would make people buy a 2nd hero, who would not do it at all right now. And it would make others buy their "nice to have" hero, which they would not do currently as well.

There are diminishing returns to buying heroes.... you need to level them up, gear them etc
If the pricing was 10-20-30 and so on, I would bet that far more ppl would buy more than the first... the "whales" would still buy linari and all that to level them, do build rushes etc so I doubt Lilith's balance shit will be worse off.
The thing with Lilith's -or any company's- statistics is that their predictions are based on common mobile game practices... meaning that the game is maintained by 1%, maybe max 5% of the playerbase.

The first companies that make bold steps towards increasing the number of paying players, by asking sane $ spending from each, will thrive.
