I used Tiadrin and Mako instead of Yip and Gafgar. Virion shield is essential yeah. I used Cleo's skill second to prevent the heal from countering it. Mako at 45 doesn't kill the dragon very quickly yet (at least for me).

From what I got told (didn't test thoroughly) the turtle aura does remain if you use strategic retreat on it.

I tested the two different 20% damage mitigation weapons and those don't seem to stack.

Considering conversion can be used to build troops with different resources and to boost during power events it makes sense to me that it'd cost slightly more then 1:1 (so that it isn't equal conversion). With map pieces only dropping from yellow chests the rate of new dragon maps seems to have gone down. Not sure it will stop the surplus of dragons yet, but it definitely seems to be helping somewhat sofar.
